*Jungle Jill’s Background*
Jungle Jill’s love and appreciation for animals began as a little girl and led her to pursue an animal related career. After high school, Jill attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and double majored in Biological Aspects of Conservation and Zoology. Utilizing those degrees, Jill has gone from working in the education department of the Minnesota Zoo to being the director of the Education Department at Wildlife World Zoo, right here in Arizona. She has had the opportunity during her career to work with some famous animal trainers such as, Jack Hanna on numerous occasions, Steve Martin of Natural Encounters Inc., and Julie Scardina of Sea World San Diego. She has also appeared with animals on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and on Late Night with David Letterman. In addition to making nationally televised appearances, Jill has also appeared on many local television stations here in the valley, such as Channels 3, 5, 10, 12, and 15.

*What to Expect From Jungle Jill’s Animal Encounters*
This is a detailed description of what you can expect when you schedule one of Jungle Jill’s programs! Jungle Jill will arrive 15 minutes prior to the arranged party time to set up. She will check in with you before unloading to decide the best way to proceed. Your help is not needed for the unloading process. Jungle Jill will bring 8-10 live animals that are transported in containers made especially for travel. These containers are secure for your safety as well as that of the animals. At the start of each program Jungle Jill will talk about safety and audience conduct guidelines. This includes rules for asking questions, touching animals, washing hands after touching (antibacterial gel is provided), as well as appropriate behavior while animals are out. Some animals are allowed to be touched while others are not. Jungle Jill will go over guidelines to be followed for each animal as they are brought out. All of the guidelines are put into place to provide a safe environment for everyone, people and animals alike. While presenting the animals in a fun and interactive manner, Jungle Jill strives to educate everyone in attendance. She will talk about what each animal is, where it comes from, what it eats, how big it gets, and other amazing animal facts! She will also cover the responsibilities of keeping some of them as pets and some things to think about before getting them as pets. The location of the presentation is weather permitting. If the outside temperature is above 90°F, then the presentation must be indoors. Some of the animals can not handle extreme heat and therefore must be inside if temperatures exceed 90°F. Presentations are the same whether they are inside or outside. So never fear if your birthday falls during the hot summer months of Arizona, you can still have one of Jungle Jill’s Animal Encounters for your special day! Moms and dads need not fret about an indoor party, Jungle Jill keeps things clean by bringing her own carpet. She leaves your house mess free! I hope you get as much fun and enjoyment out of the program as I do providing it for you!
